Miami Children's Hospital (MCH) is seeking a Director of Medical Education (DME). MCH is a 289-bed not-for-profit facility located in a beautiful suburb of Miami. MCH has an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited pediatric residency program (69 residents with 2 Chief Residents) and accredited programs in adolescent medicine, critical care medicine, emergency medicine, pediatric radiology, and pediatric dentistry.
The Director will be responsible for the medical education and continuing medical education activities at MCH including oversight of the training programs. The DME will serve as a member of the institution’s senior medical leadership, and be the ACGME Designated Institutional Official (DIO) assuring that all programs fulfill requirements of accrediting/regulatory bodies. The DME will serve as the liaison to a new medical school at Florida International University. The DME will assist in the development of a budget and participate in performance improvement initiatives. Applicants must be an American Board of Pediatrics-certified MD/DO that possess experience in medical education. Experience in administrative leadership is preferred.
