Scott Weber Identified as Key National Leader in Healthcare Education
Baltimore, Maryland — November 30, 2004 — Scott Weber, president of Physicians Practice, Provider Solutions Division, has been appointed to serve on the North Carolina State University executive advisory board that oversees the pharmaceutical track of its Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) program and Supply Chain Resource Consortium.
"It's both an honor and a great responsibility to serve on an organization that is on the cutting-edge of research and development in the pharmaceutical industry,” said Weber. "The pharmaceutical track of North Carolina State University’s MBA program and Supply Chain Resource Consortium is committed to creating a forum where industry leaders can share insights and pass on their experiences to enhance the future of the pharmaceutical industry."
In addition to his corporate duties, Weber is a member of the Healthcare Executives Leadership Forum and is a frequent national speaker on hospital-physician relationships and physician marketing. Weber also helped launch an entrepreneurship studies program at his alma mater, University of Maryland Baltimore County, and serves on its board and as adjunct faculty.
“We have identified Scott as a key national leader in healthcare education and physician practice management,” said Mitch Javidi, Ph.D., director of the Pharmaceutical Leadership Forum and adjunct professor at North Carolina State University.
The North Carolina State University MBA program hosts the Supply Chain Resource Consortium, a corporate-funded organization that provides cutting-edge supply chain research and knowledge education to faculty, students and companies with membership in the consortium. Current member companies include Bank of America, General Motors, Aventis, GlaxoSmithKline, Bayer, John Deere, Bechtel, Duke Energy, Progress Energy, Menlo Worldwide, and other corporations across the country.
