Maimonides expands circulation of Physicians Practice journal
Staten Island, NY — September 10, 2007 — Physicians and patients of community-based medical practices in Staten Island will benefit from an enhanced partnership between Physicians Practice and Maimonides Medical Center, providing resources to help more than 7,000 physicians in Brooklyn and Staten Island to manage their practices more efficiently, thereby improving patient care.
Under this partnership, Physicians Practice®, America's Leading Practice Management Journal, will be mailed monthly, beginning in September, to doctors in the region, with articles pertinent to the daily business issues faced by area physicians and their staff. The journal also features a section sponsored by Maimonides covering news in clinical and scientific research.
"We're delighted to provide our medical community with this national publication," says Dr. Samuel Kopel, Medical Director of Maimonides Medical Center. "We know that physicians look forward to the monthly articles on managing their private practices. And the supplements allow us to inform them of our new services, which will mean better care for everyone in the region."
This commitment to improve care and services to patients and physicians is reflected as well in the hospital's expansion projects and commitment to technology. Maimonides Medical Center especially prides itself on expertise in cancer care, cardiology, critical care, geriatrics, infectious diseases, obstetrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, stroke services and urology.
"We are proud to strengthen our relationship with Maimonides, to bring expertise in practice management and technology to Staten Island medical practices so they can spend less time on business and more time with patients," says Ken Karpay, publisher of Physicians Practice.
