Physicians Practice commitment to “engage, entertain and educate” earns editorial awards
Baltimore, Maryland — September 09, 2008 — Physicians Practice, America’s Leading Practice Management Journal has won seven prestigious healthcare and business publishing awards in 2008. The awards were given based on the journal’s commitment to editorial excellence directed at helping physicians improve the effectiveness of their practices.
Physicians Practice won the following awards in 2008:
* The gold award from the Trade, Association and Business Publications International (TABPI) for Best Feature Article for “Give Peace a Chance” by associate editor Shirley Grace, which rose above 24 other semi-finalists to receive the top honor.
* A bronze award for Best Regular Column for “The Bigger Picture” by editorial director Pam Moore from the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors (ASHPE).
* Pam Moore’s “The Bigger Picture” column also received a bronze award from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE).
* ASBPE granted Physicians Practice a silver award for Best Front Cover Illustration for “Show Your Schedule Who’s Boss.”
* ASBPE also designated Physicians Practice regional honors in several other categories, including a gold award for Best Original Research, and bronze awards for Best How-to Article, and Best Individual Profile.
