People who want to make more, need to work harder. The lose of the work ethic with the younger physicians is the ruin of medicine... they will all work for hospitals and be shift workers who are anxious to "clock out" at 5. Scariest thought about this, these are the people who are going to take care of me when I get sick!

The people who responded are those who have all kinds of time to fill out surveys and don't have to scrape for every dime they make, etc.

Dont know who you surveyed. Every doctor I speak to is miserable and would not want any of their children to go into the field. perhaps you had a very select population.

The doctors I know are not miserable, only sad and frustrated with EMR, the Bullroar of CMS and Insurance. We love our patients and the privilege ,the science and the art of medicine. I tell the young students they will not find a more rewarding role in society!
