Malpractice insurance is a necessary part of being a physician, but the premiums can vary wildly depending on where your practice is located.

These average rates are a key part of the 2022 Physicians Practice definitive best states for doctors.

The raw data used to calculate the average malpractice insurance cost was provided by the Cunningham Group. That data was then averaged out by Physicians Practice.
