CMS recently announced that healthcare organizations have until October 1, 2014 to implement ICD-10. This represents a one-year delay for their initial plans to make the switch from ICD-9.

In this podcast, Juliet Santos, senior director of business-centered systems for the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), enlightens listeners on both the transitional pitfalls and technology solutions available to help.
