With all the useful information available on Physicians Practice, it is easy to become overwhelmed.

With this in mind, the tip of the week is a chance to reflect on some of the wisdom found all across the site. In the September 2021 article David Doyle writes the following:

1). Keep patients occupied – Idle time tends to feel longer. Keep your waiting room stocked with a wide selection of current magazines and newspapers. Also consider adding complementary WIFI.

2). Set expectations – Offering a rough estimate on wait times lets patients know they have time to look at their phone or read instead of anxiously eyeing the clock.

3). Break up the wait – Consider administering a brief survey to gauge patient attitudes about their wait time. Your patients will appreciate the change to voice any concerns.
