Are your patients happy?
Boost patient satisfaction with three proven strategies in this quick P2 Management Minute.
Hey there folks, my name is Keith Reynolds, I’m the editor of Physicians Practice and this is the P2 Management Minute. Here are three fast ways to
1) Offer convenient digital tools
Match modern expectations: enable online self-scheduling, prescription refill requests, bill pay, and secure portal messaging. Add digital check-in and mobile forms so patients arrive ready—less waiting, fewer bottlenecks.
2) Train every role in customer service
Satisfaction is everyone’s job—from physicians to billing. Teach empathy, de-escalation, and clear expectation-setting. Use warm handoffs, and set standards like phones answered within three rings and portal messages returned within one business day.
3) Ask for feedback and act
Send short post-visit surveys, watch comments and call logs, and close the loop within 72 hours. Post a ‘You said, we did’ update so patients see improvements in real time.”
