Andrea Greco, SVP of healthcare safety at CENTEGIX, discusses the importance of situational awareness for incident responders in medical practices.

Andrea Greco, SVP of healthcare safety at CENTEGIX, sat down with Medical Economics Assistant Editor, Austin Littrell, to discuss workplace safety in medical practices.

Greco highlights the importance of situational awareness for incident responders, explaining that enhanced awareness can lead to faster, more effective responses to incidents of workplace violence, ultimately improving workplace safety for health care professionals and patients alike.

Health care staff should be able to ask for help — and they should feel encouraged to do so — if a violent or unsafe incident should occur. Greco encourages the implementation of training and protocols to keep staff prepared and on the same page.
