Question: We’d like to let an employee go, but have had bad luck in the past appealing unemployment decisions. What do we do?
Answer: Well, make sure you appeal well and in a timely manner, jumping through all the hoops required. Other than that, too bad. It’s far better to pay the benefit than to keep someone on board who will drain your practice for the next 20 years.
