Here's the full data for the Physicians Practice 2012 Physician Compensation Survey, based on more than 1,300 respondents.
It seems more physicians are experiencing longer work weeks - in 2011, 6 percent of respondents said they worked more than 75 hours; this year that number is nearly up 2 percentage points.
INCOME DROP: 38 percent of respondents said their income was "about the same," dropping from 43 percent in our 2011 survey. Unfortunately, that 5 percent went to the "down by more" replies in 2012.
GROWING DISAPPOINTMENT: 54 percent of respondents called their practice's net income "disappointing," up 5 percent from 2011.
RISING RETIREMENT: In our 2011 survey, 9 percent of physician respondents said they plan to retire in the next five years. That number grew to 12 percent in this year's survey.
