7 ways clinical research can help your practice

Slideshow

Why you should consider adding an in-house clinical research department to your practice

Both of us were drawn into clinical research by an innate desire to make a small difference in the health of others.

We don’t treat patients, we don’t invent novel medications, and we don’t have patents on surgical instrumentation. Rather, we work together with physicians to make that difference.

Annette R. Bennett, CCRC, is CEO and research director of Clinical Research Partners, a Richmond, VA-based entity that partners with both primary care and specialty medical practices to conduct clinical research studies. She may be reached at ab@clinicalresearchrva.com.

Lucien W. Roberts, III, MHA, FACMPE, is administrator of Gastrointestinal Specialists, Inc., a 27-provider practice in Central Virginia. During his career, he has been fortunate to work with clinical research studies in neurology, gastroenterology, and neuropsychology. He may be reached at lroberts@gastrova.com.
