3 habits that exceed patient expectations and ease physician burnout
Neil Baum, M.D., shares three habits from more than 40 years in practice that exceed patient expectations and help reduce physician burnout.
Exceeding patient expectations does not require new technology or a bigger staff. It often comes down to how a phone is answered, how questions get handled in the exam room and whether the practice follows up after a tough diagnosis or procedure.
On this week’s Five Minute Practice, Neil Baum, M.D., shares three habits he has used over more than 40 years in practice that he says generate positive word of mouth, deepen the doctor-patient relationship and help blunt the burnout that has become widespread in medicine.
Welcome to Five Minute Practice Fix, featuring instructional videos by physician and business of medicine expert Neil Baum, M.D. These videos are 5 to 10 minutes in length and will provide practical ideas and suggestions that have been tested in his practice or used by other physicians that significantly improve the efficiency and productivity of their medical practices.
